Role & responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Business Development
* Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Identify current business opportunities, tenders, and projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and government authorities.
- Support contract negotiations and project acquisitions.
1. Project Management Oversight
* Monitor all ongoing construction projects to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and quality standards.
- Review project schedules, progress reports, and resource allocation.
- Resolve critical project issues and risks.
1. Financial Management
* Prepare and monitor budgets and financial forecasts.
- Control project costs and overhead expenses.
- Review cash flow, profitability, and financial performance.
- Approve major expenditures and procurement decisions.
1. Operations Management
* Oversee day-to-day construction operations.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate between various departments such as Projects, Procurement, HR, and Finance.

* Review project contracts and ensure compliance.
- Monitor claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships.

* Ensure compliance with construction standards and specifications.
- Implement quality management systems.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of project quality.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
1. Health, Safety, and Workplace (HSE)
* Promote a robust safety culture across all sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor accident prevention measures and safety performance.
- Review incident reports and implement corrective actions.
1. Leadership and Team Management
* Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and department heads.
- Set performance objectives and evaluate team performance.
- Develop succession planning and employee development programs.
- Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
1. Stakeholder Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.
- Attend client meetings and project review meetings.
- Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Handle escalations and critical concerns.

* Identify business and project risks.
- Develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor legal, contractual, financial, and operational risks.
- Ensure business continuity and contingency planning.
