AI Integration Developer Healthcare RCM AutomationWe're seeking an experienced AI Integration Developer to build intelligent automation pipelines that connect AI/LLM models with our Veradigm Practice Management (PM) API ecosystem, accelerating our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows. The primary focus is eliminating manual data entry, automating repetitive administrative tasks, and building intelligent workflows to process intake forms, medical records, and billing claims.

Key Responsibilities

- API Integration Design and maintain robust middleware connecting internal AI tooling with Veradigm PM APIs for eligibility verification, charge capture, and claim status retrieval.
- Workflow Optimization Automate high-volume administrative processes, including patient statements, payment posting validation, and prior authorization tracking.
- AI Billing Automation — Build LLM/NLP-driven agents that audit clinical documentation, extract key data points, and accurately suggest ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes within Veradigm.
- Form & Document Automation — Develop pipelines to extract, validate, and process data from intake forms, claim forms, and patient documents (PDFs, images, scanned files) using OCR and AI extraction tools.
- Denial Management — Build predictive ML pipelines that analyze Veradigm remittance data (835/ERA) to automate denial root-cause analysis and generate appeal letters.




- System Integration — Connect internal databases, forms, and third-party billing/EHR platforms via APIs, custom scripts, or automation frameworks.
- Security & Compliance — Ensure all AI pipelines and data transfers strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI); enforce regulatory guardrails across all automated processes.
- Human-in-the-Loop Design — Build systems with human review checkpoints at critical decision points (coding suggestions, denial appeals, PHI handling) rather than full automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 4+ years of backend development experience (Python, JavaScript/Node.js) with a robust focus on U.S. healthcare RCM.
- Hands-on experience with Veradigm PM/EHR APIs, or equivalent Tier-1 ambulatory PM systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth), strongly preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of clearinghouse data exchange standards, including EDI 837 (claims) and EDI 835 (remittances).
- Practical experience with AI/LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, etc.) for parsing unstructured medical documentation.
- Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth2 authentication, SQL, and webhook-based architectures.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements for handling PHI in automated systems.
