About Indian Snack HouseIndian Snack House is building a modern food brand around the authentic sweets, snacks and food culture of South India.

From Tirunelveli Halwa and Srivilliputhur Palkova to Kerala Banana Chips and Chettinad Murukku, we work with regional makers and native recipes to bring the real taste of different towns to customers across India.

But we don't just want to sell snacks.

We want to tell the stories behind the food — the towns they come from, the people who make them, the traditions behind them, and the culture that makes South India special.

And we're looking for someone who can help us tell these stories.

The RoleWe are looking for a Vlogger & Content Host who can become one of the faces and voices of Indian Snack House across Instagram, YouTube and other social platforms.

You could be

- Walking through the streets of Madurai discovering a 70-year-old food institution.
- Visiting Tirunelveli to understand what makes its halwa different.
- Talking to an artisan who has been making murukku for three generations.
- Hosting a blind taste test in Chennai.
- Exploring forgotten South Indian snacks.
- Taking viewers behind the scenes at Indian Snack House.
- Interviewing customers, chefs, founders and interesting people.
- Hosting fun, spontaneous food and culture content.

This is not a desk-based social media role. You will be expected to travel, explore, talk to strangers, taste food, ask interesting questions, improvise and tell great stories on camera.

What You'll Own1. Host & VlogBe comfortable being in front of the camera and hosting short-form and long-form videos.

The ability to find the story behind the obvious story will matter enormously.

- Take Content From Idea → CameraWork with our content team to develop ideas, hooks and formats.

You should be able to understand the basic narrative of a video:

Hook → Curiosity → Story → Payoff

You don't need to be a professional scriptwriter, but you should understand what makes people continue watching.

- Talk to PeopleA large part of the role will involve interacting with people.

Artisans, shop owners, customers, street vendors, chefs, employees and sometimes complete strangers.

You should be someone who can make people comfortable and have natural conversations on camera.

- Represent Indian Snack HouseOver time, we want the host to become a recognizable personality associated with Indian Snack House.

That means understanding our philosophy around authenticity, regional food culture and real food and communicating it naturally rather than sounding like an advertisement.

Who We're Looking ForYou don't necessarily need professional hosting experience.

We're looking for someone who has:





- Excellent on-camera presence
- Strong spoken Tamil
- Good conversational English
- Natural curiosity about food, people and culture
- Confidence approaching and speaking with strangers
- Ability to communicate stories simply and entertainingly
- A good understanding of Instagram, Reels and YouTube
- Ability to improvise rather than depend completely on scripts
- High energy and willingness to experiment
- Comfort travelling frequently for shoots
- Strong ownership — someone who doesn't wait for every idea to be handed to them

Knowing Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada or Hindi is an added advantage. You Might Be a Great Fit If...Your friends tell you that you can talk to anyone.

You naturally discover interesting places, foods and stories.

You enjoy travelling through small towns as much as visiting popular restaurants.

You're comfortable picking up a camera and speaking without needing 20 takes.

You understand that the best content sometimes comes from an unexpected conversation rather than a perfectly planned shoot.

And most importantly, you genuinely love storytelling.
