This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior ATIP Specialist based in India.
This is a high-impact contract opportunity focused on managing a large and complex Access to Information request within a government environment.
You will take ownership of the file from planning and processing through consultations, interim releases, and final disclosure.
The role requires a solid understanding of Canadian access-to-information legislation, policies, directives, and current ATIP practices.
You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring that decisions are properly documented and legally defensible.
The position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise to a significant, deadline-driven information management initiative.
You will also contribute to improving organizational practices by documenting lessons learned from processing high-volume requests.

Accountabilities
Develop, maintain, and document a comprehensive project plan with milestones, work objectives, and timelines to ensure delivery by the mandated deadline.
Process and complete a large-volume Access to Information request in accordance with the Access to Information Act, applicable policies, directives, and established ATIP practices.
Coordinate and document internal and external consultations, including sequential consultations where required, using appropriate communication and processing systems.
Engage directly with the requestor when clarification or additional information is required to support the processing of the request.
Liaise with the Office of the Information Commissioner as appropriate throughout the processing of the file.
