Position: Vendor Development Engineer

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

Department: Purchase / Vendor Development

Industry: Engineering / Machine Manufacturing

Experience: 3–4 Years

 Identify and develop new suppliers for engineering components and bought-out items.

 Search and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, technology, delivery,

and reliability.

 Conduct supplier visits and capability assessments.

 Develop alternate suppliers for critical and high-value components.

 Maintain and update the approved vendor database.

Required Skills

 Strong knowledge of engineering manufacturing processes.

 Good understanding of sheet metal and machining processes.

 Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

 Good costing and commercial negotiation skills.

 Strong supplier development and follow-up skills.

 Positive knowledge of Excel and ERP/Purchase systems.
