Summary Position Summary As a Qlik Engineer in the Analytics/Reporting team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable QlikView / Qlik Sense dashboards and analytical applications that support business decision making.

The role will focus primarily on dashboard development, Qlik data modeling, scripting, reload optimization, security implementation, and ongoing production support. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, data engineers, and platform teams to translate reporting requirements into intuitive, reliable, and high-performing Qlik solutions.

Experience with Qlik Cloud is preferred, and exposure to Qlik Answers or Qlik Predict will be an added advantage as the team explores AI-enabled and advanced analytics capabilities within the Qlik ecosystem.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Equivalent hands on experience in business intelligence, data visualization, Qlik development, or analytics reporting will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards in QlikView / Qlik Sense.
- Strong understanding of Qlik scripting, Data Load Editor, data transformation logic, incremental loads, and reusable QVD layer design.
- Experience building efficient Qlik data models, including fact/dimension design, star schema concepts, synthetic key resolution, circular reference handling, and data model optimization.
- Strong dashboard design skills, including KPI reporting, sheet layout, visual storytelling, usability, and performance-aware visualization design.
- Good SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, subqueries, CTEs, data validation, reconciliation, and query troubleshooting.
- Experience implementing or supporting Qlik security concepts such as Section Access, row-level security, app-level access controls, and governed dashboard access.
- Working knowledge of Qlik Sense Enterprise administration concepts, including apps, streams/spaces, reload tasks, data connections, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot dashboard issues related to data refreshes, reload failures, script errors, performance bottlenecks, and user access concerns.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple dashboard development, enhancement, and support priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with Qlik Cloud,



including spaces, data connections, reload management, app publishing, access management, and cloud-based dashboard deployment.
- Exposure to QlikView and experience supporting migration, modernization, or redevelopment of QlikView applications into Qlik Sense.
- Knowledge of Qlik APIs, extensions, mashups, automation, or integration patterns.
- Exposure to Qlik Answers, including AI-assisted search, knowledge discovery, or conversational analytics use cases.
- Exposure to Qlik Predict or predictive analytics concepts within the Qlik ecosystem.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms or services such as AWS S3, Redshift, Databricks, RDS, or other enterprise data warehouse/lakehouse environments.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and trusted data practices for enterprise reporting.
- Understanding of Agile delivery practices, release management, version control, and CI/CD concepts for analytics solutions.

Key job responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain interactive dashboards and analytical applications using QlikView / Qlik Sense.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into data models, KPIs, visualizations, measures, dimensions, and user-friendly reporting solutions.
- Build and maintain Qlik load scripts using the Data Load Editor, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, incremental reload logic, and QVD layer management.
- Create efficient Qlik data models using best practices such as star schema design, appropriate granularity, reusable QVD layers, and elimination of synthetic keys and circular references.
- Enhance existing Qlik dashboards by improving usability, performance, visualization design, reload efficiency, and overall user experience.
- Implement and validate Section Access, row-level security, and application-level access controls in partnership with platform and security teams.
- Support Qlik environment operations, including monitoring reloads, troubleshooting failed tasks, managing data connections, validating data refreshes, and resolving production support issues.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for source analysis, joins, aggregations, data validation, reconciliation, and dashboard performance tuning.
- Collaborate with business users, product owners,



data engineers, QA teams, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable reporting solutions within agreed timelines.
- Contribute to Qlik modernization initiatives, including QlikView to Qlik Sense migration, Qlik Sense Enterprise enhancements, or adoption of Qlik Cloud capabilities where applicable.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, dashboard specifications, data lineage notes, support runbooks, and release documentation for Qlik applications.
