? About GPK Vacations

GPK Vacations Private Limited specializes in domestic & international tour packages, honeymoons, group tours, corporate travel, and MICE events . We are looking for a Travel Consultant with strong package-building, vendor coordination, negotiation, customer handling, and sales conversion skills .

? Key Responsibilities

- Build customized domestic and international tour packages based on customer requirements, budget, and preferences.
- Search for reliable vendors, DMCs, hotels, transport providers, and activity suppliers .
- Communicate with vendors through email and professional channels to obtain quotations and availability.
- Compare vendor quotations and negotiate to secure the best possible pricing and inclusions .
- Research new vendors and continuously identify competitive rates and better supplier options.
- Prepare accurate quotations, itineraries, and package proposals for customers.
- Coordinate with vendors to finalize rates, availability, inclusions, and booking conditions.
- Speak with customers to understand their requirements, answer queries, handle objections, and close enquiries into confirmed bookings .
- Follow up with customers and maintain professional communication throughout the sales process.
- Maintain records of vendor quotations, negotiated rates, customer requirements, and package details.
- Support occasional mall activities, travel exhibitions, and promotional events when required.

? Requirements




- Minimum 1 year of experience in travel consulting, tour operations, or a travel agency environment.
- Robust knowledge of tour package building and destination planning .
- Excellent vendor communication and quotation-comparison skills.
- Strong negotiation and bargaining skills to obtain competitive vendor pricing.
- Good customer-handling and sales conversion skills .
- Basic to good knowledge of flight ticketing , including fare rules, ticket types, itinerary details, booking concepts, and basic ticketing procedures.
- Familiarity with GDS or airline/travel booking platforms will be an advantage.
- Good email-writing and professional communication skills.
- Robust research, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customer enquiries and vendor negotiations simultaneously.
- Proactive, target-oriented, and genuinely interested in the travel industry.

? Compensation & Work Arrangement Salary: ₹17,000 – ₹20,000 per month

Incentives: Performance-Based Incentives

Work Mode: Primarily Work From Home

Location: Chennai

Office Visits: Occasional office visits for meetings, training, reviews, and business activities.

Employment Type: Full-Time
