GutBasket is India's first probiotic fermentation brand — live cultures, traditional recipes, modern formulations, all lab-tested for safety. We make it easy for people to take control of their gut health at home, starting with fermentation kits that let customers make their own probiotics from scratch.

We're a small, bootstrapped, profitable team that takes the food as seriously as the science. Everyone here wears multiple hats and takes real ownership of what they make.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're in the business of fermentation — and there's an enormous range of recipes and flavours we haven't built yet. We're looking for someone who loves developing food: creating new fermentation recipes from scratch, building spice blends through real experimentation, and turning the best of them into products and recipes our customers can actually make.

This is a hands-on,



kitchen-and-lab role. You'll experiment, taste, document, and iterate. Whether you come from a food-science background or a culinary one, what matters is a good palate, a curious mind, and the discipline to turn a happy accident into a repeatable result. You'll learn our domain deeply — fermentation, gut health, and the science behind it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop new fermentation recipes — take an idea from first trial to a tested, repeatable result.
• Create and experiment with new spice blends — some become standalone product launches, others power recent recipes we share with our customers.
• Document and standardise everything — turn each recipe into a clear SOP (ratios, timings, salt/brine %, temperatures) so results are repeatable at home and at scale.
• Run shelf-life and safety testing — track pH, stability, and basic food safety, working with the team and partner labs.
