Job Title: Transformer Design Engineer

Role Summary:

Responsible for complete electrical and mechanical design of Power / Distribution Transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Electrical Design: Calculation of core, winding, losses, impedance, temperature rise, insulation coordination, short-circuit withstand.
- Mechanical Design: Tank, clamping structure, core frame, lead arrangement, GA drawings.
- Software: Use of design software - ETAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks / Inventor, Ansys Maxwell, Excel design sheets.
- Standards: Design as per IS, IEC, IEEE, ANSI standards. Knowledge of IS 2026, IEC 60076.
- Testing: Review of Type Test, Routine Test results. Support during testing and failure analysis.
- Documentation: Prepare BOM, Technical Specification, QAP, Datasheets, Customer approval documents.
- Coordination: Work with Production, Quality, Sales & Marketing for cost optimization and customer queries.
- Types: Experience in Oil Filled, Dry Type, Power up to 50MVA / 132kV class preferred.
