Role Description: The Transformer Testing Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Irungattukottai. The engineer will perform routine and type tests on dry type transformers, including preparation of test setups, execution of electrical and functional tests, and accurate recording of results.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing test plans and test cases, operating and maintaining test equipment, identifying non-conformities, and coordinating with production and design teams to resolve issues. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant standards, preparing test reports and documentation, supporting root cause analysis for failures,



and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and safety practices.

Qualifications:

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Test Engineering and Testing within transformer or power equipment environments.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Execution and working with defined Test Cases for routine and type tests.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Functional Testing of transformers and associated electrical systems.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with experience in transformer manufacturing or high-voltage equipment testing.
- Familiarity with relevant IEC/IS standards, insulation testing, high-voltage test equipment, and power quality measurements.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site industrial environment.
- Basic computer skills for data logging and report preparation; prior experience in a test lab or quality function is an advantage.

Experience should be 3 to 8 years of Transfer testing.
