About the Role

We are looking for a Training Lead – Growth Retail who will be responsible for building and strengthening the capability of our retail teams across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT). The role will own the end-to-end training journey for Beauty Advisors (BAs) and Product Executives (PEs), including onboarding, product training, people skills, refresher training, and continuous capability development.

The role will also work closely with the Retail and Sales teams to support interviews and selection of BAs/PEs for GT and MT stores, ensuring we build a strong and capable frontline team aligned with business requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end onboarding and training for Beauty Advisors (BAs) and Product Executives (PEs) across GT and MT stores.
- Conduct product training covering product knowledge, key ingredients, benefits, USPs, usage, and product recommendations.
- Conduct people skills and retail sales training including customer interaction, communication, grooming, selling skills, objection handling, and customer experience.
- Plan and conduct regular refresher training based on business requirements, performance gaps, new launches, and feedback from the field.
- Develop training modules, presentations, assessments, and other learning materials for frontline teams.
- Conduct training assessments and knowledge checks to evaluate product and process understanding.
- Work closely with Retail/Sales teams to identify training needs and capability gaps across stores.
- Support interviews and selection of BAs and PEs for GT and MT stores.
- Assess candidates on communication, customer orientation, selling ability, grooming, product aptitude, and overall suitability for the role.




- Partner with HR and Retail teams to ensure timely onboarding and deployment of selected candidates.
- Track training attendance, completion, assessment scores, and overall training effectiveness through regular training MIS.
- Conduct store visits and field interactions to understand on-ground challenges and identify areas requiring intervention.
- Work closely with Retail, Sales, HR, and Marketing teams to align training initiatives with business and product priorities.
- Continuously improve training programs based on feedback, store performance, and business requirements.

- Good analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret training effectiveness and performance data.

- Ability to manage multiple training programs and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with GT and MT retail environments and interacting with frontline teams.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and other training/content creation tools.

Education & Qualification

- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- A certification or specialization in Training & Development, Learning & Development, HR, Retail Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in Training/L&D;, preferably within Beauty & Personal Care, Cosmetics, Retail, FMCG, or D2C.
