Skill Requirements

Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of tractor hydraulic systems including hydraulic lift systems, 3-point hitch, remote hydraulic valves (SCVs), hydraulic pumps, control valves, lift cylinders, rockshaft assemblies, hydraulic reservoirs, filtration systems and hydraulic plumbing.
- Good understanding of hydraulic circuit design, pressure and flow calculations, hydraulic component sizing and system integration.
- Expertise in hydraulic tube, pipe and hose routing considering packaging, serviceability, manufacturability, vibration and durability requirements.
- Solid knowledge of hydraulic hose selection, including SAE and EN hose classifications, pressure ratings, bend radius, temperature compatibility and application suitability.
- Good understanding of hydraulic end fittings and adapters including JIC, ORFS, BSP, NPT, Metric, SAE flange connections, quick couplers and sealing methods.
- Familiarity with hydraulic standards such as ISO, SAE, DIN and EN applicable to hydraulic components, hose assemblies, fittings, routing and testing.
- Knowledge of contamination control, filtration requirements, hydraulic cleanliness and leak prevention practices.
- Experience in hydraulic component packaging and subsystem integration within tractor architecture.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX (CAD) and Teamcenter (PLM).
- Good understanding of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis and engineering drawing practices.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to hydraulic tubes, hose assemblies, fabricated brackets, castings and machined components.
- Exposure to DFMEA, DVP, validation planning and engineering change management is desirable.

Job Profile: Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership
- Lead the Hydraulics engineering team delivering offshore design and development projects for global tractor OEMs.
- Plan engineering activities, assign work packages and ensure timely project execution.
- Conduct technical design reviews and provide engineering guidance to the team.
- Ensure adherence to customer engineering standards, CAD methodologies and project milestones.
- Drive engineering quality, productivity and continuous improvement within the team.
2. Hydraulic System Design & Integration
- Lead design and development of tractor hydraulic systems including:
- Hydraulic Lift System
- Hydraulic Schematics
- Three-Point Hitch (3PH)
- Lift Linkages
- Rockshaft Assembly
- Hydraulic Pumps
- Control Valves
- Selective Control Valves (SCVs)
- Lift Cylinders
- Hydraulic Tubes, Pipes and Hose Assemblies
- Oil Reservoirs
- Filters
- Mounting Brackets and Support Structures
- Develop robust hydraulic layouts ensuring proper packaging, accessibility, serviceability and manufacturability.
- Design and review hydraulic tube and hose routing considering minimum bend radius, vibration isolation, abrasion protection, thermal exposure and installation requirements.
- Select suitable hydraulic hoses, fittings, adapters and sealing solutions based on application requirements and customer standards.
- Coordinate subsystem interfaces with transmission, chassis, engine, operator controls, electrical systems and other tractor aggregates.
3. CAD & Engineering Deliverables
- Develop and review 3D CAD models and assemblies using Siemens NX.
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs and product release documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customer CAD standards and modelling best practices.
- Support engineering change implementation and configuration management throughout the product lifecycle.
4. Engineering Quality & Validation
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles during product development.
- Support GD&T; implementation and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Participate in DFMEA reviews and support DVP preparation and validation planning.
- Support prototype build activities, testing, issue resolution and design improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis for hydraulic system issues and recommend effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable hydraulic design standards and customer specifications.
5. Customer & Project Coordination
- Act as the primary technical interface for hydraulic engineering activities with the customer.
- Participate in technical reviews, design discussions and project governance meetings.
- Coordinate with CAE, validation, manufacturing, purchasing and supplier teams for successful subsystem integration.
- Track engineering deliverables, risks and open issues, ensuring timely closure.
- Support engineering effort estimation, proposal preparation and resource planning for new business opportunities.
