Duty Hours & Compensation
Standard duty hours: 12 hours per day
8:30 hours will be considered as normal working hours
Additional 3:30 hours will be treated as overtime
Overtime will be paid extra as per company policy / applicable labour laws
Job Purpose
- To manufacture, maintain, and repair sheet metal tools and dies to ensure smooth and productive production operations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble sheet metal dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of dies
- Handle press tools (progressive, compound, single operation)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Operate tool room machines (lathe, milling, grinding, drilling)
- Inspect components using measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, etc.)
- Troubleshoot tool-related issues to minimize production downtime
- Maintain tool history records and ensure preventive maintenance
- Follow safety standards and 5S practices in the workplace
- Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal tooling and die making
- Understanding of press operations
- Machine handling and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and quality focus
