Role Overview:

Design and develop sheet metal press tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support efficient and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design progressive, compound, and stage tools for sheet metal components

- Prepare 2D/3D designs using AutoCAD / SolidWorks

- Develop strip layouts, tool layouts, and detailed manufacturing drawings

- Ensure tool feasibility considering material flow, press capacity, and production volumes

- Coordinate with tool room, production, and quality teams during tool manufacturing and trials

- Support tool trials, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

- Work on modifications and optimization of existing tools for productivity and cost efficiency

Skills & Competencies:

- Robust experience in sheet metal press tool design

- Hands-on expertise in strip layout development

- Proficiency in AutoCAD / SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools)

- Good understanding of GD&T; and manufacturing processes

- Knowledge of press operations, tool materials, and tolerances

- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skil
