Role Description The Thinking Coach is a temporary, on-site role based in Agartala, responsible for facilitating future-skills learning experiences with school students. In this role, the coach guides learners through structured thinking exercises, problem-solving activities, and innovation projects aligned with ENpower’s skill frameworks. The coach conducts interactive classroom sessions, supports students in entrepreneurship and design-thinking journeys, and helps them apply critical, creative, and collaborative thinking to real-world challenges.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing session plans, delivering engaging workshops, documenting learner progress, and sharing feedback and insights with ENpower’s program team and school stakeholders. The role may also involve coordinating with teachers, participating in training sessions, and ensuring that all activities are conducted in line with ENpower’s pedagogy and impact goals.
Qualifications
- Ability to facilitate structured thinking, including critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving with school-age learners.
- Skills in classroom facilitation, experiential learning, and learner engagement, with comfort in leading group activities and discussions.
- Solid communication skills in English and local languages as applicable, with clear, inclusive, and age-appropriate instruction.
- Capability to guide students through innovation and entrepreneurship concepts, such as idea generation, basic business thinking, and teamwork.
- Organizational and planning skills to prepare session materials, maintain records of learner progress, and coordinate with school staff.
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, coaching, or working with children or adolescents in educational or community settings is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, psychology, management, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications in pedagogy or facilitation are an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in school environments in Agartala, with a learner-centered mindset, patience, and a commitment to equitable
