Provide engineering support for on-time product delivery and resolve customer technical queries. Review, approve, and support design activities for production and in-service products.

Conduct detailed engineering investigations to identify and resolve technical issues.

Act as the primary technical focal point for Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Programs, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and Quality teams.

Design and implement mechanical modifications for in-service products and associated tooling.

Prepare, review, and approve engineering documentation, drawings, and technical reports.

Coordinate and resolve technical issues between the UK and US engineering teams.

Make informed technical decisions in accordance with engineering standards and technical authority.

Serve as the primary technical interface for internal stakeholders and external customers.

Manage engineering requirements, deliverables, and technical risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Build and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.

Lead and support projects aimed at improving product reliability and performance.

Develop and manage structured engineering investigation plans to support timely decision-making.

Ensure technical solutions minimize production disruptions and prevent line stoppages.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification. Experience in mechanical design,



preferably involving Generators, rotating equipment, bearings, seals, structures, and tooling.

Good knowledge of electrical machines and hands-on experience with CAD software.

Strong understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, and production practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet program deadlines.

Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to both internal teams and external customers.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for investigating and resolving engineering issues.

Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and international engineering teams.

Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.
