- Teach English to students from Classes 6 to 12 as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, structured lesson plans.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking and communication skills.
- Conduct classroom activities, discussions, assessments and examinations.
- Prepare worksheets, question papers, assignments and other learning materials.
- Regularly evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students who require additional academic guidance.
- Maintain proper classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods wherever appropriate.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events and academic activities.
- Maintain student records and coordinate with the academic team regarding student progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English.
- B.Ed.
or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Strong knowledge of the CBSE English curriculum for Classes 6–12.
- Excellent English communication and classroom-management skills.
- Good command of grammar, literature, writing and spoken English.
Experience
- 0–3 years of relevant teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.
- Experience teaching senior classes (XI–XII) will be an added advantage.
