Job Title: Lead Buyer - SCM Manager

Role Overview:

The Lead Buyer - SCM Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end procurement and supplier management activities for solar manufacturing and project equipment, materials, and services. The role involves driving strategic sourcing, techno-commercial evaluations, contract management, vendor development, cost optimization, and supply risk mitigation to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement aligned with project and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute techno-commercial strategies and procurement initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
Review and verify purchase requisitions, determine appropriate procurement methods, and manage sourcing activities for Capex, MEP Projects, and services.
Draft and issue contracts, maintain contract records, and coordinate with vendors for submission of necessary documents.
Monitor material deliveries,



resolve supply-related issues, and facilitate contract closure.
Identify and onboard recent suppliers, conduct vendor evaluations, and maintain approved vendor databases.
Analyze procurement and supplier-related data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and generate reports for management review.
Identify procurement and supply chain risks, develop mitigation plans, and support business continuity through proactive risk management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline.
7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, or Buyer functions.
Experience in Power Plant, Energy, Manufacturing, Steel, Cement, or Heavy Engineering industries preferred.
