Job Summary

We are looking for an IBS Engineer Level 2 with hands-on experience in telecom network operations, In-Building Solutions (IBS), Wi-Fi, small cells, OFC and associated telecom equipment. The role will be responsible for site surveys, network performance analysis, optimization, preventive and corrective maintenance, trouble-ticket resolution and coordination with internal teams, customers, vendors and field teams to ensure network availability and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. IBS Network Assessment & Optimization

- Understand walk-test measurements and existing network performance to identify IBS requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Conduct and/or review site surveys and feasibility studies for proposed In-Building Solutions.
- Optimize existing IBS networks to improve network performance and end-user experience.
- Analyze customer complaints, identify root causes and proactively implement corrective solutions.
- Maintain accurate site, project and network information in databases and tracking spreadsheets.

1. Site Operations & Maintenance

- Take ownership of Operation & Maintenance (O&M;) activities for ISC, Wi-Fi, Enterprise & UBR and A6 sites.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of telecom equipment and network elements.
- Perform field-level activities including:
- Hard reset and equipment rebooting.
- Card replacement.
- UBR antenna adjustment.
- Console login and equipment diagnostics.
- Alarm monitoring and fault rectification.
- Replacement of faulty hardware as per approved material movement procedures.
- Coordinate with NOC and relevant technical teams when issues cannot be resolved at field level.
- Ensure timely restoration of equipment and network services.

1. Telecom Equipment & • Network Maintenance

- Perform O&M; activities for telecom/electronic equipment deployed at IBS,



indoor Wi-Fi and small-cell locations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot L2 switches, Wi-Fi access points, switches and related network equipment.

- Configure and troubleshoot L2 switches.
- Have a basic understanding of telecom base station systems and their operations.
- Support local/field-level technical issues and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.

1. Indoor OFC Maintenance

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of indoor OFC infrastructure and associated equipment.
- Maintain fibre connectivity between L2 switches, rack/JB and small-cell/Wi-Fi access points.

- Identify and resolve fibre-related connectivity issues at IBS, indoor Wi-Fi and small-cell locations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of indoor fibre infrastructure.

1. Trouble Ticket & • Preventive Maintenance

- Ensure compliance with TT01 – Trouble Ticket resolution and closure within defined timelines.
- Execute TT02 – Preventive Maintenance activities for ISC, Wi-Fi, Enterprise & • UBR and A6 network elements.

- Ensure timely reporting and closure of all assigned tickets and maintenance activities.
- Maintain proper records of faults, corrective actions and preventive maintenance.

1. Stakeholder & • Vendor Management

- Coordinate effectively with internal teams, cross-functional stakeholders, customers, NOC teams and external agencies.
- Work closely with equipment vendors for product-related updates, technical support and issue resolution.
- Liaise with local teams and relevant authorities/stakeholders for resolution of field-related issues.
- Proactively identify operational challenges and recommend practical technical solutions.

1. MIS, Tools & • Automation

- Maintain accurate project and site information in databases, trackers and MIS.
- Prepare and maintain reports using MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.




- Should have working knowledge of SQL and relevant telecom/networking tools.
- Should be comfortable using digital tools and automation to improve operational efficiency and reporting.

Preferred candidate profile Required Skills & Competencies

- Good understanding of IBS, Wi-Fi, Small Cell and telecom network operations.
- Hands-on experience in telecom equipment O&M; and field troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of L2 switches, IP networks, Wi-Fi APs and indoor OFC.
- Basic understanding of telecom base station systems.
- Ability to conduct site surveys, analyze network performance and identify technical issues.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in field environments.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and automation tools will be preferred.
- Good communication and reporting skills.

Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Telecom / IBS / Network O&M; / Field Operations.
- Diploma (3 years) / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication or Instrumentation.
- Must possess a valid two-wheeler and two-wheeler driving licence.
- Must have access to a laptop for field reporting and operational activities.
- Should be medically fit to perform field duties.
- Should be comfortable with daily travel by two-wheeler and working across multiple sites.
- Should be willing to work in field environments and handle local site-related issues.
- Must follow all applicable health, safety and work protocols.
