Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Writer who bridges the gap between maritime port logistics, enterprise documentation systems, and interactive learning. In this AI-augmented role, you will use AI tools to generate first-draft documentation from PRDs, Jira stories, source code, and product changes, then apply expert judgment to verify, correct, and finalize it into publication-ready manuals.

Key Responsibilities

- Use AI to generate first-draft technical documentation and manage documentation tickets through JIRA/issue trackers alongside engineering sprints.
- Generate training materials for end-users covering end-to-end TOS workflows.
- Conduct hands-on testing and validation in QA/staging environments to verify API behavior, endpoints, and TOS workflows.
- Create and maintain technical documentation using MadCap Flare and GitBook .
- Draft API references, configuration guides, and system architecture guides from source code, specifications, and PRDs.
- Design interactive micro-learning courses, simulation scripts, and video walkthroughs for port operators, terminal managers, and system integrators.
- Collaborate with maritime engineers, vessel planners, and TOS developers to translate complex logistics workflows into clear technical content.




- Engineer effective prompts and reusable prompt templates for AI-generated documentation.
- Review AI-generated content for hallucinations, factual errors, completeness, and terminology consistency.
- Continuously improve AI-assisted documentation workflows, prompts, templates, glossaries, and style guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Domain experience in Maritime Logistics or Port Operations , including TOS platforms such as Navis N4, COSMOS, Tideworks, or proprietary TOS.
- Familiarity with container terminal workflows such as quay crane scheduling, yard planning, gate automation, and vessel stowage.
- Knowledge of maritime EDI standards such as EDIFACT BAPLIE, COARRI, and CODECO .
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot , or documentation-specific AI tools.
- Robust prompt engineering and AI-output review skills.
- Hands-on API and environment testing experience, including QA/staging environments and JIRA/issue tracking.
- Hands-on experience with MadCap Flare , including single-sourcing, topic-based authoring, condition tags, target management, and HTML5/PDF publishing.
- Technical writing experience for developer software, APIs, and system integrations.
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Camtasia, or Adobe Captivate .

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

- Prior experience working at a container, bulk, or intermodal terminal.
- Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI and LMS integration.
- Experience with Git version control and Markdown integration with MadCap Flare.
- Basic understanding of Python, Java, or C# code samples for API integration guides.
- Experience defining AI documentation standards, prompt libraries, style guides, and terminology glossaries.
