Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in managing complex software development and IT projects from initiation through successful delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong technical understanding, excellent project management capabilities, and experience coordinating cross-functional teams, stakeholders, clients, and vendors.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and in accordance with defined quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage end-to-end software/IT projects from planning, execution, monitoring, and control through delivery and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, resources, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and project documentation.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and escalation processes.
- Coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, business analysis, infrastructure, and other technical teams.
- Provide technical direction and demonstrate a strong understanding of software architecture, development methodologies, APIs, databases, cloud environments, and DevOps practices.
- Work closely with architects and technical leads to evaluate technical approaches and resolve complex project-related issues.
- Monitor project progress against planned timelines, budgets, resources, and quality parameters.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and communicate project status to senior management and clients.
- Identify potential project risks and implement appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Manage client communication, requirement discussions, expectations, feedback, and escalations.
- Ensure requirements are properly documented, reviewed, prioritized, and translated into actionable technical tasks.




- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, where applicable.
- Track project performance using appropriate KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure adherence to organizational processes, SDLC standards, security requirements, quality standards, and compliance guidelines.
- Manage project resources effectively and identify resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor Project Managers, Team Leads, and other team members as required.
- Coordinate UAT, deployment, production releases, go-live activities, and post-production support.
- Ensure proper project handover, documentation, knowledge transfer, and closure.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and delivery optimization.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Knowledge of modern application development technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, React, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of REST APIs, Microservices, Web Services, databases, system integration, and application architecture.
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases; knowledge of NoSQL databases is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated deployment processes.
- Knowledge of application security, performance, scalability,



and integration concepts.
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API documentation, and project deliverables.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree / MBA in Project Management or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- 10+ years of overall IT/software development experience, with significant experience in project management.
- Proven experience managing multiple technical projects or large-scale software projects.
- Experience in managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience in risk management, resource planning, budgeting, estimation, and project governance.
- PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or similar certification will be an advantage.
