Position: Technical Analyst – Financial Markets

Reporting To: Chief Sales Officer

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Technical Analyst with a strong understanding of financial markets and expertise in technical and quantitative analysis. The candidate will be responsible for analysing market trends, identifying trading and investment opportunities, and providing actionable market insights across multiple financial products.

The role requires the ability to convert market data, price behaviour, technical indicators and broader market trends into clear and practical recommendations for the company’s advisory, investment and client-facing teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Market Analysis

- Conduct detailed technical analysis of equities, indices, commodities, currencies and other market-linked financial products.
- Analyse price trends, volume, volatility, momentum and market breadth.
- Identify key support and resistance levels, breakouts, reversals and trend changes.
- Apply technical tools including moving averages, RSI, MACD, Fibonacci levels, Bollinger Bands and other relevant indicators.
- Analyse candlestick and chart patterns across multiple time frames.

1. Trading & Investment Recommendations

- Generate actionable buy/sell/hold and trading ideas based on defined technical parameters.
- Clearly specify entry price/range, target price, stop-loss and expected risk-reward for recommendations.
- Develop short-term, positional and medium-term market strategies.
- Continuously track recommendations and provide timely updates, including exits and revisions.

1. Multi-Product Research

Provide technical and market inputs across products handled by the company, which may include:
- Listed equities
- Equity and sectoral indices
- Equity derivatives
- Commodities
- Currencies
- ETFs
- Mutual funds and market-linked investment products
- Other financial products introduced by the company

1. Research & Communication





- Prepare daily and weekly market outlooks and technical research notes.
- Provide concise pre-market and post-market commentary.
- Communicate important market developments and technical signals to internal teams.
- Present investment/trading views in a simple and understandable manner for relationship managers and clients.
- Participate in internal market meetings, client discussions, webinars and presentations whenever required.

1. Risk Management

- Ensure every trading recommendation is supported by clearly defined risk parameters.
- Monitor volatility, position sizing and risk-reward ratios.
- Track major market events that may materially affect existing recommendations.
- Maintain performance records of recommendations and periodically analyse hit ratio, average return, drawdown and risk-adjusted performance.

1. Collaboration

- Work closely with fundamental research and Demat dealer
- Combine technical signals with fundamental, macroeconomic and market information wherever appropriate.
- Support relationship managers with timely market views without compromising the independence and integrity of research.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of technical analysis and financial markets.
- Expertise in chart patterns, candlestick analysis and technical indicators.
- Good understanding of equities, derivatives and other financial products.
- Ability to interpret large amounts of market data quickly.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Sound understanding of risk management and position sizing.
- Ability to distinguish high-conviction setups from market noise.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.




- Ability to work effectively in fast-moving and volatile markets.

Technology & Tools Preference will be given to candidates familiar with:

- TradingView
- Bloomberg / Refinitiv / similar market-data platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Technical-analysis and charting platforms
- Python or other quantitative/data-analysis tools would be an added advantage.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Relevant NISM certification(s) as applicable to the activities performed by the candidate/company.
- CMT, CFA or similar professional qualifications would be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in equity research, broking, wealth management, investment advisory or financial-services organisations is preferred.

Experience Preferred: 3–7 years of relevant experience in technical research, market analysis, trading strategy or investment research.

Exceptional candidates with lower experience but a demonstrable track record and strong technical-analysis capabilities may also be considered.

- Risk-adjusted performance of recommendations
- Accuracy of identified market trends
- Timeliness of research and market updates
- Quality of risk management
- Performance tracking and accountability
- Effectiveness of support provided to advisory and relationship teams
- Quality and clarity of client/internal communication
- Adherence to internal research processes and applicable regulatory/compliance requirements

Pay: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
