Team Leader – Vessel Scheduling

Location: Thane, Mumbai

Experience: 6–10 years in Container Shipping / Vessel Scheduling / Network Operations / Maritime Logistics, with 2+ years in Team Lead/Supervisory role

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Vessel Scheduling team, including workload allocation, shift planning and SLA adherence.
- Oversee vessel schedule maintenance, voyage creation, port rotations, ETB/ETD, cut-offs, berth schedules and schedule changes.
- Ensure schedule accuracy, data quality and timely updates across scheduling and freight management systems.
- Manage voyage and rotation activities, including routing, service strings, vessel changes and operational updates.
- Coordinate with global/regional operations, network, cargo and port teams to resolve scheduling issues.
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, quality, TAT, backlog and SLA performance.
- Handle escalations, identify operational issues and drive process improvement and automation initiatives.




- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS and performance dashboards.
- Train, coach and develop team members through onboarding, cross-skilling and performance feedback.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Container Shipping, Vessel Scheduling, Liner/Feeder Operations, Port Operations and Maritime Logistics.
- Hands-on experience in vessel schedule maintenance, voyage management, port rotations, cut-off management, berth planning and schedule publication.
- Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, dashboards and data analysis.
- Experience with FIS/FIS3, vessel scheduling systems, Power BI or equivalent shipping platforms.
- Robust team leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, data quality and SLA/KPI management skills
