Role Overview:
The Lead Buyer - SCM Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end procurement and supplier management activities for solar manufacturing and project equipment, materials, and services. The role involves driving strategic sourcing, techno-commercial evaluations, contract management, vendor development, cost optimization, and supply risk mitigation to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement aligned with project and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute techno-commercial strategies and procurement initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
- Review and verify purchase requisitions, determine appropriate procurement methods, and manage sourcing activities for Capex, MEP Projects, and services.
- Draft and issue contracts, maintain contract records, and coordinate with vendors for submission of necessary documents.
- Monitor material deliveries,



resolve supply-related issues, and facilitate contract closure.
- Identify and onboard current suppliers, conduct vendor evaluations, and maintain approved vendor databases.
- Analyze procurement and supplier-related data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and generate reports for management review.
- Identify procurement and supply chain risks, develop mitigation plans, and support business continuity through proactive risk management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, or Buyer functions.
- Experience in Power Plant, Energy, Manufacturing, Steel, Cement, or Heavy Engineering industries preferred.
