Overview

The Application Support Analyst, Maconomy is a member of the Business Applications team responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving Deltek Maconomy across Stagwell’s global agency network.

This role partners closely with Finance, Shared Services, Business Applications, and IT to ensure the stability, performance, and ongoing enhancement of Maconomy. The Application Support Analyst provides functional support, performs system configuration, assists with enhancement delivery, supports production releases, and resolves complex application issues while maintaining strong governance and operational controls.

The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience with Deltek Maconomy and a strong understanding of financial and project accounting processes. This individual will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, recommend system improvements, and deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency and enhance the user experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems through technology and wants to contribute to the ongoing evolution of a global ERP platform.

Responsibilities

Application Support

- Provide functional support for Deltek Maconomy across Finance, Shared Services, and agency operations.




- Investigate and resolve application issues, system errors, and user inquiries.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage support requests in accordance with established service level expectations.
- Collaborate with business users to resolve issues while minimizing operational disruption.

System Configuration & Administration

- Configure and maintain approved Maconomy application settings, workflows, security roles, and master data.
- Support organizational changes, new entity setup, and application administration activities.
- Maintain application configuration documentation.
- Ensure changes comply with governance, change management, and internal control requirements.

Enhancements & Continuous Improvement

- Partner with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of approved system enhancements.
- Support automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
- Participate in application roadmap initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Release & Production Support

- Support application releases, patches, and production deployments.
- Execute functional testing and user acceptance testing for system changes.
- Monitor production processing, integrations, and scheduled jobs.
- Coordinate issue resolution with developers, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors.

Business Partnership

- Build strong relationships with Finance, Shared Services, and operational leaders.
- Provide functional guidance on Maconomy capabilities and best practices.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processing activities.
- Assist with user training and adoption of new functionality.

Documentation & Governance

- Develop and maintain functional documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
- Document business requirements, configuration changes, and testing results.
- Support audit requests and maintain compliance with SOX and internal control standards.




- Promote consistent application governance across the global organization.

Required Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on Deltek Maconomy experience in a functional support or Business Applications environment.
- Experience configuring and supporting Maconomy in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Project Accounting, Purchasing, and Time & Expense.
- Experience supporting application enhancements and production releases.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.

Preferred

- Experience supporting global, multi-company ERP environments.
- Working knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and data validation.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, or middleware platforms.
- Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar work management tools.
- Knowledge of SOX controls and IT change management practices.
- Experience in the advertising, media, professional services, or project-based industry.
