Role Description The Student / Career Counsellor will provide one-on-one and group guidance to students and early-career professionals, helping them clarify goals, explore options, and plan actionable career and education paths. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions via online platforms, interpreting psychometric assessments, and recommending suitable courses, colleges, internships, and career tracks.





The counsellor will collaborate with the FutureCaptains team to refine guidance frameworks, contribute to mentorship programs, and maintain accurate records of sessions and follow-up actions. This is a remote volunteer role, offering flexibility in scheduling while requiring a consistent commitment to support learners and professionals in their development.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Career Counseling, Student Counseling, and providing individualized guidance to diverse learners.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Development and Career Management to help individuals plan, evaluate, and progress in their career journeys.
- Candidates should possess robust Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and empathetic interaction.
- Experience or education in psychology, education, human resources, or related fields is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage time independently, and use digital tools for virtual sessions.
- Prior experience mentoring students or professionals, and familiarity with psychometric assessments or career guidance frameworks, is an advantage.
