Senior Structural Steel Designer

- Experience:
6–8+ years of experience in wood/timber structural design

, preferably with US-based projects.

- Wood Design Expertise:
Solid understanding of gravity and lateral load-resisting systems for wood-framed structures.

- Structural Systems:
Experience with wood floor and roof systems, beams, joists, rafters, columns, shear walls, diaphragms, and wood framing systems

.

- Lateral Design:
Hands-on experience in designing wood shear walls, diaphragms, hold-downs, collectors, and lateral load paths

.

- High-Rise Wood:

Experience with mid-rise/high-rise wood structures

, including podium structures, Type III/V construction, and mixed-material systems, would be preferred.

- Design Codes:

Strong knowledge of

IBC, ASCE 7, NDS (National Design Specification for Wood Construction)

, and applicable local building codes.

- Connections:
Good understanding of wood-to-wood, wood-to-steel, and wood-to-concrete connections

, including fasteners, bolts, hold-downs, anchors, and connection hardware.

- Analysis & Design Software:

Proficiency in

RISA-3D, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro

, or similar structural analysis software.

Experience with wood-specific design tools is an advantage.
