Lead - Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing category-specific sourcing strategies that deliver measurable cost efficiencies, strengthen supplier performance, and ensure long-term value creation for the organization.

This role requires solid analytical capability, deep expertise in supplier management, and advanced negotiation skills to drive optimal procurement outcomes. The incumbent plays a critical role in spend analysis, contract management, and cross-functional collaboration to align sourcing initiatives with broader business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost efficiencies across all vendor categories
- Lead end-to-end vendor management activities including selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and relationship management
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and emerging industry trends
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing terms to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization
- Establish and maintain vendor scorecards and key performance indicators to track supplier performance and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and legal to align procurement activities with organizational objectives
- Manage vendor risk assessment processes and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity




- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor management processes and procurement efficiency
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their capabilities
- Prepare and present regular reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and vendor performance to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor?s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA/ NICMAR or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
- 10 plus years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
- Experience in handling multiple categories (direct/indirect procurement preferred).
- Experience in aviation industry, multi-category or complex sourcing environments preferred
