Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement of mechanical materials, spare parts, machinery, tools, and industrial consumables.
- Float RFQs (Request for Quotations) and collect quotations from vendors.
- Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements for approval.
- Generate and track Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Follow up on pending orders and resolve delivery-related issues.
- Work closely with the Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Stores teams to understand material requirements.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
- Verify invoices and coordinate with the Finance team for payment processing.
- Support vendor identification and supplier performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in procurement,
purchase, or supply chain.
- Freshers with internships or academic projects in procurement or manufacturing are welcome to apply.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical materials, equipment, and industrial spare parts.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valuable organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
