Role Description The STEM Trainer is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai. In this role, the trainer plans and delivers STEM sessions, workshops, and demonstrations for school and college students, as well as other learner groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing lesson plans and activities, simplifying complex STEM concepts, preparing teaching materials and experiments, and conducting interactive, hands-on classes.

The trainer collaborates with the academic and content teams to align sessions with curricula, gathers feedback from learners and partner institutions,



and continuously refines teaching methods. The role also involves supporting events, outreach programs, and educational content creation, while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in STEM disciplines (e.g., Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Technology) with the ability to explain concepts clearly and practically.
- Experience in teaching, training, or conducting workshops for students or learners of varied age groups.
- Ability to design interactive lesson plans, hands-on activities, and experiments that promote curiosity and problem-solving.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with comfort speaking to groups and facilitating discussions.
- Skill in using educational tools, basic lab equipment, and digital resources to enhance STEM learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, Education, or a closely related discipline; a teaching or training certification is an advantage.
- Demonstrated patience, learner-centered mindset, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage schedules for multiple programs.
