Youth For Seva is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on STEM Trainer to support the implementation of its STEM Education Project in schools. The role involves conducting engaging, activity-based STEM learning sessions for students in Grades 5–8 and making Science and Mathematics concepts straightforward, practical, and relatable. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in STEM education, enjoy working with school students, and be comfortable travelling to assigned schools.

Roles & Responsibilities

- STEM Training: Conduct interactive, hands-on STEM sessions for students in Grades 5–8 using activity-based learning methods.
- Practical Learning: Facilitate robotics, DIY models, simple electronics, experiments, and other STEM activities.
- Concept Simplification: Explain Science and Mathematics concepts through simple, practical, and relatable examples.
- School Coordination: Manage sessions across multiple assigned schools as per the programme schedule and coordinate effectively with school stakeholders.
- Student Engagement:



Create an encouraging learning environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and participation.
- Programme Support: Support STEM events, exhibitions, STEM Days, and other programme activities as required.
- Documentation: Maintain basic records and reports using MS Office and Google Sheets.

Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of experience in STEM training is required.
- Basic understanding of Science and Mathematics at Grade 5–8 level.
- Experience in teaching, training, or the NGO/social sector is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office and Google Sheets.

Additional Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of robotics kits, DIY models, or simple electronics.
- Familiarity with Scratch or other block-based coding platforms is preferred.
- Good communication skills in Kannada, along with basic English.
- Willingness to travel to assigned schools and work during school hours.
