Role Description The State Mission Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring state-level social welfare missions and programs. The role involves coordinating with government departments, partner organizations, and community stakeholders to ensure timely execution of initiatives and adherence to policy guidelines. Daily tasks include preparing action plans, tracking project milestones, compiling progress reports, and supporting training and capacity-building activities for field staff and implementing agencies.

The State Mission

Coordinator will also handle documentation, data collection, and analysis to inform decision-making, resolve operational challenges,



and recommend improvements for program delivery. This role requires regular participation in review meetings, effective communication with senior leadership, and consistent field-level engagement to ensure that mission objectives are achieved.

Qualifications

- Ability to coordinate complex initiatives, with strong Project Management skills relevant to social welfare programs.
- Clear and effective Communication skills for working with government officials, partner organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Robust Organization Skills to manage documentation, reporting, scheduling, and multiple program activities simultaneously.
- Experience in Training and capacity-building for staff or community workers involved in program implementation.
- Knowledge or experience related to Military Operations or large-scale mission planning is an asset where applicable to structured program execution.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Experience in government, non-profit, or social sector project coordination is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in using office productivity tools and basic data analysis for monitoring program performance.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, with readiness for periodic field visits within the state.
