About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of medical and non-medical supplies.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality and pricing.
- Ensure timely procurement of medicines, medical consumables, surgical items, and equipment.
- Coordinate with various hospital departments to understand procurement requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the stores department to prevent stock shortages.
- Prepare purchase orders, maintain procurement records, and ensure documentation compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Analyse purchasing trends and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies and applicable regulations.
- Resolve vendor-related issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital procurement or purchase management.
- Strong knowledge of hospital purchasing processes, vendor management, and inventory coordination.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Hospital Management Software will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement priorities.
