Key Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat eye diseases, injuries, and vision disorders.
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and other therapies as required.
- Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures when necessary.
- Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Follow hospital policies, medical ethics, and healthcare regulations.
Requirements:
- MS/DOMS/DNB in Ophthalmology
- Proven experience in ophthalmology is preferred.
- Valid medical registration with the State Medical Council.
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare workplace.
Education:
- Master's (preferred)
Experience:
- Consultant Ophthalmologist: 3 years (preferred)
