- Role Objective

To drive sales, distribution, visibility, and market expansion for Malpani Group’s Tobacco and Tea portfolio within an assigned district. The role includes managing distributor operations, retailer relationships, and a team of Sales Promoters to ensure effective execution and brand visibility across the market.
- 1. Sales & Market Development- Deliver primary and secondary sales targets for Tobacco & Tea categories.
- Expand market coverage through current retailer additions, wholesale penetration, and distribution expansion.
- Drive numeric & weighted distribution while ensuring product availability across channels.
- 2. Distributor & Channel Management- Ensure timely order booking, stock rotation, and inventory planning with the distributor.
- Monitor distributor ROI, claim settlements, and compliance to company guidelines.
- Train and supervise distributor salesmen for effective field performance.

Retail Execution & Trade Engagement- Conduct daily market visits to monitor product placement, visibility, and competitor activities.
- Build strong relationships with key trade partners, wholesalers, and retail influencers.
- Implement trade schemes, visibility drives, and marketing activations (especially for Tea category).
- Ensure merchandising standards are met with proper display of POSM.
- 4. Management of Sales Promoters- Recruit, train, and supervise Sales Promoters deployed in retail markets.
- Allocate daily targets, monitor performance, and ensure promoter productivity.
- Provide product training, sales scripts, and field guidance to Promoters.
- Review daily reporting dashboards and resolve on-ground challenges.
- Ensure promoters drive visibility, sampling (Tea), and consumer conversion in key outlets.
- 5. Territory Planning & Reporting- Execute beat plans and ensure coverage of all potential outlets in the district.
