Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer is a key player in our technical expertise and delivery. This role involves owning, designing, and delivering software functionality, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving customer problems, and promoting good engineering practices.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Customer Sustaining Team of Engineering Department located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions that drive product enhancements, resolve customer escalations, and improve overall product quality.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve complex technical challenges while delivering scalable, maintainable, and customer-focused solutions.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose application, infrastructure, and performance issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver effective short-term and long-term fixes.

- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, support recruitment and onboarding activities, and promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

- Champion engineering best practices, including TDD/BDD, CI/CD, automation, and participation in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of software development experience.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, Java, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML,



and CSS, along with strong knowledge of OOP, multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.

- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, performance, and memory management.

- Robust experience in designing enterprise applications, implementing automated testing strategies, and working with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins/CircleCI, and code quality tools such as SonarQube.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

- Working in the Life Sciences industry or other regulated environments, including audits, compliance, and quality management processes.

- Designing scalable software architectures, microservices, and cloud-native applications using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.

- Developing secure applications and driving engineering best practices with a strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and application security principles.

- Working with application monitoring, observability platforms, performance tuning, database optimization, and operational excellence practices.

- Leading engineering process improvements, establishing development standards, and leveraging the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
