We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP RAP Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model), Clean Core development, and SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).

The ideal candidate should have strong ABAP development expertise along with practical experience in building contemporary S/4HANA applications using RAP, CDS, OData V4, Fiori Elements, and following SAP Clean Core principles.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance SAP S/4HANA applications using ABAP and RAP.
- Design and develop RAP Managed and Unmanaged implementations.
- Develop CDS Views, CDS View Entities, Associations, Metadata Extensions and Annotations.
- Build and expose OData V4 services using RAP.
- Develop Fiori applications using Fiori Elements and integrate them with RAP services.
- Work extensively with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) for application development and deployment.
- Follow SAP Clean Core principles and recommend upgrade-safe extension approaches.
- Implement In-App and Side-by-Side Extensibility based on business requirements.
- Develop custom business objects, validations, determinations, actions, functions and authorizations in RAP.
- Work with ABAP OO, modern ABAP syntax and S/4HANA development practices.
- Analyze standard SAP objects and identify appropriate extension points such as BAdIs, enhancement spots, released APIs and extension frameworks.
- Develop solutions using released SAP APIs and CDS views wherever applicable.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with functional consultants and business teams during S/4HANA implementation.
- Ensure developments comply with Clean Core, ATC and SAP development standards.

- Strong experience in SAP ABAP / ABAP OO.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Strong experience with RAP – Managed and Unmanaged scenarios.

- Valuable understanding of SAPUI5/Fiori and frontend-backend integration.
- Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core concepts and extensibility.
- Experience with BAdIs, released APIs, enhancement frameworks and extension points.
- Experience with S/4HANA Public Cloud / Private Cloud or On-Premise extensibility concepts is desirable.
- Knowledge of ATC and clean-code practices.
- Good understanding of SAP transports and deployment processes.

Good to Have
- SAP BTP experience.
- Experience with Side-by-Side Extensions.
- SAP Integration Suite / APIs.
- Experience with SAP Build Work Zone.
- Experience with ABAP Cloud / Cloud Application Programming Model concepts.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori tools and Git-based development.
- Experience with S/4HANA migration or brownfield implementation projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Solid hands-on development experience rather than only theoretical RAP knowledge.
- Has worked on end-to-end S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Comfortable working directly with functional teams and translating requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of when to use standard functionality, key-user extensibility, developer extensibility or side-by-side extensibility.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.
