We are looking for a highly experienced Python Developer / Integration Lead with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to lead and execute complex integration deliverables. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can operate at both the solution architecture and implementation level.

The ideal candidate will have the maturity to work with business and technical stakeholders, drive integration architecture and technical decisions, and at the same time remain hands-on with the code, development, troubleshooting, and deployment activities. This is not a pure people-management or architecture role—the candidate will be expected to personally contribute to the heavy lifting required to deliver critical integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex integration solutions using Python and GCP.
- Act as a technical lead/SME for integration architecture, design patterns, development standards, and cloud-native solutions.
- Remain hands-on with keyboard, contributing directly to Python development, integration development, troubleshooting, code reviews, and technical implementation.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of integration components, from technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient integration solutions on GCP.
- Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, data-processing services, and cloud-native applications using Python.
- Work extensively with GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, API Gateway, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, Secret Manager, IAM, and Cloud Scheduler.
- Design and implement synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns using APIs, messaging, events, and batch processing.
- Develop reusable integration frameworks, utilities, libraries, and automation components using Python.
- Integrate applications, APIs, databases, SaaS platforms, and enterprise systems across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Perform hands-on debugging, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, development best practices, CI/CD processes, security practices, and integration design standards.




- Review technical designs and code while actively participating in development rather than functioning solely as an architect or reviewer.
- Mentor developers and provide technical direction while continuing to contribute to critical development deliverables.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, estimation, planning, and delivery for integration workstreams.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD implementation using tools such as Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Cloud Build, Terraform, or equivalent technologies.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, observability, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Technical Skills

Python

- 10+ years of strong hands-on experience with Python development.
- Strong experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, exception handling, logging, testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience building production-grade APIs, microservices, integration services, and automation frameworks.

GCP – Mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong experience with several of the following:
- Cloud Run
- Cloud Functions
- Pub/Sub
- API Gateway
- Cloud Storage
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Secret Manager
- Cloud Scheduler

- Robust understanding of GCP networking, security, IAM, scalability, and cost optimization.

Integration
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions.
- Excellent understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, authentication, OAuth2, JWT, and API security.
- Experience with synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Strong experience with messaging/event-driven architectures.
- Experience integrating cloud applications, enterprise applications, databases, and third-party systems.




- Experience with API management and integration platforms is highly desirable.

DevOps & Engineering
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Experience with Git-based source control.
- Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Understanding of automated testing, monitoring, logging, and observability.

- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Experience with API-led connectivity and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Kafka or other enterprise messaging platforms.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Experience with Kubernetes/GKE is a plus.
- Experience with DevSecOps and cloud security practices.
- GCP certification such as Professional Cloud Developer, Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent is preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile We are specifically looking for someone who is strong enough to operate at a Manager / Senior Associate level but still genuinely hands-on.

The candidate should be comfortable saying:

“I can design the solution, lead the team, and also write the code and deliver the critical integration components myself.”

This role is best suited for a hands-on Technical Lead, Integration Lead, Senior Python Developer, or Engineering Lead with deep GCP experience—not a pure Project Manager, People Manager, or non-coding Architect.
