Overview
The Security Manager’s primary purpose is the protection of PepsiCo’s people, assets, and objectives at GCC Hyderabad and GCC Gurugram, with a secondary responsibility of supporting the India Foods Security Lead and foods business, in the south of India, including but not limited to, the new greenfield site at Mannaparai, Tamil Nadu. The Security Manager, who will be based primarily at the strategically critical GCC Hyderabad facility, is responsible for the day-to-day management of the contracted guard force, Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Control room, Visitor Management System (VMS). This role is responsible for overseeing critical security functions including 24x7 CCTV monitoring, badge data administration, visitor management, female associate security transportation and the management of the iLobby application. Additionally, the role supports broader site operations, including employee travel risk management, security supplier billing, and the execution of office infrastructure projects.
Under Global Security guidance, the role will also support the conduct of incident response and investigations. The Security Manager is also part of the GCC crisis management and business continuity teams. They are responsible for the liaison between PepsiCo and the local police, emergency services and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- The principal accountabilities of the GCC Hyderabad & India Foods (South) is driving the implementation and execution of security, crisis management and business continuity management strategies, plans and protocols, and best practices across the GCC Hyderabad facility, as well as supporting the India Security Lead at outlying Foods manufacturing sites. Additional accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- In line with the broader EMEA security strategy, implement Facility security plan to identify, assess and mitigate reasonably foreseeable security risks to PepsiCo’s People, Assets and Objectives.
- As a strategically important site to the entire PepsiCo business,
oversee and facilitate the ongoing strengthening of a sustainable, Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning and capability program at GCC Hyderabad.
- Through training and audit, develop and validate GCC Hyderabad’s Crisis Management and Business Continuity program and plans are current and functional.
- Maintain strong working relationships with, and provide consultation to, Facility and OU leadership teams.
- Plan and oversee security risk assessments and annual security audits at GCC Hyderabad (and outlying Foods sites) to identify, analyse and evaluate critical vulnerabilities, and to assist in closing these risks through cost-effective, best practice security controls.
- Analyse security threats and risks inherent in undertaking current business ventures and offer risk-informed mitigation measures.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities as well as with security directors of other large multinational companies.
- Deliver a Facility-aligned CAPEX security business plan that ensures effective security spend.
- Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs.
- Advise and assist before, during, and after security incidents, including on-the-spot risk assessments and security advice to business travellers.
- Implement operational plan to strengthen the protection of our supply chain at India Foods (South) sites.
- Conduct and coordinate investigations to include counterfeit, extortion, contamination of our products, loss reduction, kidnapping, robberies, Speak Up, fraud, corruption,
and security threats against the Region’s interests and associates.
- As necessary and required, support the Corporate Security Executive Protection program by providing pre-travel logistical assistance and direct operational support to impacted members of executive leadership when they are present within the Sector.
- Work closely with Internal stakeholders, PGRE, S&T; and LT to ensure strong communication and execution of programs.
Qualifications
- Understanding of threat actor profiling and assessment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the ISO 31000 Risk Management standard and risk assessment process.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the ISO 22301 Business Continuity standard.
- Working knowledge of the ISO 28000 Security Risk Management standard.
- Comprehensive knowledge of guard force management, industry regulation and associated labour law.
- Practical working knowledge of video surveillance systems (demonstrable knowledge of Honeywell ProWatch).
- Practical working knowledge of access control systems.
- Practical working knowledge of visitor management systems (with demonstrable knowledge of iLobby).
- Practical working knowledge (and experience) of legally compliant workplace investigations and interviewing.
- Experience in the planning and execution of travel risk management (journey management) and associated Duty of Care obligations.
- Practical working knowledge (and experience) of data privacy compliance and privacy impact assessments.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience, with a mix of public and/or private sector exposure.
- Experience of securing major finance or technical (FinTec) hubs.
- Experience of securing manufacturing sites and associated supply chains.
- Experience in the planning and delivery of executive protection and event security.
- Capital and operational budget formulation and administration.
- Extensive knowledge of national and local security legislation and regulations
