Job Title: Production Engineer — CT/PT Transformers

Location: Tushar Trans Equipment Pvt Limited (Bharuch)

Role Summary

Drive safe, efficient, and high-quality production of current transformers (CT) and potential/voltage transformers (PT). Support daily manufacturing, troubleshoot issues on the floor, and implement continuous improvements across winding, core assembly, potting/oil processing, testing, and final assembly.

Key Responsibilities
- Production support
- Monitor daily builds of CT/PT coils, core stacking, insulation, lead terminations, and tank/epoxy potting or oil processing.
- Resolve first-line manufacturing issues (winding tension, burrs, insulation fit-up, lead dress, vacuum/oil leaks).
- Ensure adherence to work instructions, drawings, BOMs, and quality checkpoints.
- Process and quality improvement
- Standardize SOPs and visual work instructions; implement 5S and error-proofing.
- Analyze scrap/rework and cycle times; execute kaizen to improve yield, takt, and throughput.
- Support calibration, test fixture upkeep, and capability checks for ratio, polarity,



phase angle, excitation, and dielectric tests.
- Documentation and change control
- Maintain routings, BOMs, traveler packets, control plans, FMEAs, and ECNs.
- Create and update torque charts, setup sheets, and test procedures for CT/PT products.
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Partner with Design Engineering to interpret specs (burden, accuracy classes, ANSI/IEC ratings) and implement DFM changes.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain on component qualifications (core steel, wire, epoxy/oil, terminals, bushings).
- Train operators and testers on new processes and equipment.
- Safety and compliance
- Champion LOTO, PPE, and secure handling of oils/resins/solvents.
- Support compliance to relevant IEEE/ANSI/IEC standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering; or equivalent technical degree.
