Position Overview:
The Purchase Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services required for production. The role demands strong vendor management, cost optimization, and technical understanding to ensure timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for raw materials, components, and services.
- Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotation), analyze quotations, and negotiate terms to achieve cost savings.
- Ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules and inventory requirements.
- Collaborate with design, PPC, and production teams to understand technical specifications.
- Maintain vendor records, contracts,
and compliance documentation.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and new product developments.
- Coordinate logistics and ensure smooth delivery of materials.
- Support audits and ensure adherence to company procurement policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement/purchase within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and procurement processes.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
