Job Title: Senior Design Engineer – Liquid Packaging Machinery

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in the design and development of liquid packaging and filling machinery.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the complete machine design lifecycle, from concept development and engineering calculations to detailed design, manufacturing support, assembly, and commissioning. The candidate will work on customized automation solutions for industries including FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage, Oil & Chemicals, and related sectors.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop complete liquid packaging and filling machines/lines, from concept to commissioning.
- Develop machine layouts integrating filling, capping, rinsing, labeling, and conveying systems.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SOLIDWORKS.
- Perform necessary engineering calculations and design validations to ensure machine reliability and performance.
- Knowledge of engineering simulation and structural analysis using ANSYS will be an added advantage.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), part codes, and engineering documentation.
- Develop customized machine solutions based on customer requirements, product characteristics, and production capacity.
- Lead Recent Product Development (NPD) initiatives for liquid packaging and filling equipment.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, electrical,



and assembly teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify and troubleshoot design, manufacturing, and assembly issues during production and machine commissioning.
- Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions, providing design inputs and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior design engineers.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.

Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in machine design, preferably in liquid packaging, filling, or industrial automation machinery.
- Strong hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD.
- Good understanding of machine design, mechanisms, fabrication, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in designing customized machinery and automation systems.
- Ability to independently handle projects from concept through commissioning.
- Knowledge of ANSYS/FEA or other engineering simulation tools will be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and team-handling skills.
