Roles & Responsibilities
- Understand complex utility tariffs, rates, and programs, and convert these into models.
- Analyze energy utilization data for cost and usage patterns to derive meaningful insights.
- Maintain tariff models with timely updates for price, logic, or other enhancements as per client requirements.
- Assist the delivery team in validating input data received from clients for modelling work.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with the delivery team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues in the modelling tool.
- Build and deliver compelling demonstrations/visualizations of products.
- Continuously develop skills as a lifelong learner.
- Contribute to the success of a rapidly growing and evolving organization.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong Data Analyst profile with advanced Excel and SQL expertise.
- Mandatory (Experience 1): 4+ years of overall experience as a hands-on Data Analyst.
- Mandatory (Tech skill 1): Highly proficient in advanced Excel — complex functions, macros, calculations, and pivots.
- Mandatory (Tech skill 2): Solid hands-on SQL and good understanding of relational database concepts.
- Mandatory (Tech skill 3):
Ability to automate routine tasks using Python (for automation purposes).
- Mandatory (Skill 1): Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and logical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Mandatory (Skill 2): Ability to understand complex data and business logic and convert it into models (e.g., utility tariffs, rates, and programs).
- Mandatory (Communication): Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently with India- and US-based teams, articulating problems and solutions over calls and email.
- Mandatory (Location): Must be based locally in Pune (or nearby Maharashtra belt — Mumbai, Nagpur), as the final round is in person.
- Preferred (Domain): Experience in the Energy/Utility industry and familiarity with basic utility (electrical/gas) tariff concepts.
- Preferred (Tools): Excel macros; Python or shell scripting; 1+ year of Agile methodology experience.
