Role Description This is a full-time or part time, on-site Speech Therapist role based at RDCC.

The Speech

Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adults, using evidence-based methods and individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, delivering one-on-one and small group therapy sessions, monitoring progress, and documenting clinical notes and reports.



The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, engaging families and caregivers in home programs, and providing education on communication strategies and therapeutic goals.

The Speech

Therapist will also participate in team meetings, contribute to program development, and maintain high standards of ethical and professional practice.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Speech Therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for diverse client populations.
- Ability to address Speech and Language Disorders through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Experience managing Communication Disorders, focusing on functional communication in daily life.
- Knowledge of Dysphagia assessment and therapy, with an emphasis on safe swallowing and feeding practices.
- Recognized degree or certification in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, with valid professional registration/licensure as applicable.
- Experience working with children and adults in clinical, educational, or rehabilitation settings is highly beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal, counseling, and family engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective documentation, time management, and organizational skills, with commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
