Position: Speech & Drama Teacher

Reporting To: Principal / Academic Coordinator / Performing Arts Head

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and creative Speech & Drama Teacher to develop students’ communication, public speaking, acting, and stage performance skills. The candidate will conduct engaging drama sessions, prepare students for performances and competitions, and help build confidence and creativity among learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct Speech & Drama classes for students across different grade levels.
- Teach voice modulation, pronunciation, diction, expression, and public speaking techniques.
- Train students in acting, theatre games, role play, storytelling, and stage performance.
- Organize school plays, drama productions, assemblies, and cultural events.
- Prepare students for Annual days, inter-school competitions, debates, elocution, and theatre activities.
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, confidence, and communication skills among students.




- Develop lesson plans and learning materials aligned with the curriculum.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure student safety during activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents regarding student development and performances.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts, Theatre, English, Education, or related field.
- Certification/Diploma in Speech & Drama or Theatre Arts preferred.
- Prior teaching or theatre experience will be an added advantage.

Skills Required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Robust command over English language and pronunciation.
- Creative, energetic, and student-focused approach.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Good classroom management and event coordination skills.

Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant teaching or theatre experience preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
