Special Educator – Pediatric Therapy Centre

Employment: Full-time / Part-time

Experience: 1–3 years preferred

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Special Educator to join our pediatric therapy centre and work with children with developmental, learning, behavioural and academic difficulties.

The role involves providing individualized, evidence-informed educational intervention based on each child’s developmental and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct educational and functional assessments of children.
- Plan and implement individualized intervention programs.
- Work with children with learning difficulties, developmental delays, ADHD, autism and other developmental needs.
- Provide support for:
- Reading and phonics
- Writing and handwriting
- Numeracy and mathematical concepts
- Attention and executive functioning
- School-readiness skills
- Study skills and academic remediation
- Develop individualized goals and maintain session records.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Special Education or a relevant recognized qualification.




- Has good understanding of child development and learning difficulties.
- Is comfortable working with children from preschool to school age.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is patient, organized and willing to learn.
- Can develop a good rapport with children and families.
- Is comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Learning disabilities / academic remediation
- Phonics and literacy intervention
- Early intervention
- Autism
- ADHD
- School-readiness programs
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Behaviour and classroom strategies
