Key ResponsibilitiesDoor-to-Door Waste Collection

- Collect segregated waste from households and assigned establishments as per the daily route.
- Ensure timely and regular door-to-door waste collection.
- Encourage households to maintain proper source segregation of wet, dry and other waste.
- Handle waste safely and responsibly during collection and loading.
- Assist in loading and unloading waste collection vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness around collection points and vehicles.

MRF Sorting & Segregation
- Receive and unload collected waste at the MRF.
- Perform manual sorting and segregation of dry waste into different recyclable categories.
- Separate paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, glass and other recoverable materials.
- Identify and separate rejected/non-recyclable waste for appropriate disposal.
- Assist in weighing, storage, baling and movement of recovered materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the sorting and processing areas.

MRF Operations & Maintenance
- Operate and assist in the safe use of MRF equipment after appropriate training.
- Assist in cleaning machines, sorting tables, bins, tools and work areas.
- Maintain proper stacking and storage of recovered materials.
- Follow daily operational instructions and assigned work schedules.
- Report equipment problems, unsafe conditions or operational issues to the supervisor immediately.

Worker Conduct & Safety




- Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures.
- Use prescribed PPE such as gloves, masks, safety shoes and reflective jackets.
- Maintain personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work cooperatively as part of the team.
- Handle waste carefully and avoid unsafe contact with hazardous or sharp materials.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality and regular attendance.

Candidate Profile
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a field and MRF setting.
- Willing to work with municipal solid waste and recyclable materials.
- Hardworking, punctual, disciplined and responsible.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
- Previous experience in waste collection, sanitation, recycling, MRF, sorting, factory or labour-intensive operations will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of waste segregation will be preferred.
