Solar Service Engineer

We are looking for a technically skilled Solar Service Engineer to handle installation support, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and after-sales service of solar PV systems. The candidate will visit customer/project sites, identify technical issues, resolve service complaints, and ensure reliable performance of solar systems.

Roles And Responsibilities

- Install, test, commission, and service solar PV systems.

- Troubleshoot solar inverters, panels, batteries, DC/AC wiring, protection devices, and monitoring systems

- Attend customer complaints and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems.

- Diagnose inverter alarms, generation issues, communication faults, and electrical problems.

- Conduct site inspections and system performance checks.

- Support customers, dealers, EPC partners, and installation teams with technical assistance.

- Maintain service reports, site-visit reports, complaint records, and maintenance documentation.

- Coordinate with technical, operations,



and spare-parts teams for complex issues.

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and site safety requirements.

- Travel to customer/project locations as required.

Competencies

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field.

- Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical wiring, inverters, batteries, and protection systems.

- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

- Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, email, and service reporting.

- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for field visits.

Experince & Skills

- 0–3 years of experience in solar, electrical, inverter, or field service. Freshers with good electrical/solar knowledge may also be considered.
