- The Solar Power Plant Technician is responsible for the operation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of the solar power plant to ensure protected, efficient, and uninterrupted generation in compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and monitor the solar power plant as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Regularly monitor and maintain SCADA systems, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, and weather monitoring systems.
- Record daily generation data, PR, CUF, inverter availability, and plant performance parameters.
- Ensure timely reporting of alarms, breakdowns, and abnormal conditions.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance of Solar PV modules • Inverters • DC combiner boxes (DCDB) • AC panels, transformers, and switchgear; as per frequency and site requirements.
- Perform corrective maintenance during breakdowns to restore plant operation at the earliest.
- Identify recurring faults and suggest corrective actions to improve plant performance.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and permit-to-work systems.
- Ensure use of PPE during maintenance activities.
- Maintain earthing systems, lightning arresters, and ensure fire safety equipment readiness.
- Support compliance with statutory inspections (Electrical Inspector, DISCOM, CEA norms, etc.).
- Attend inverter trips, grid outages, and plant shutdowns promptly. Coordinate with OEMs, DISCOM officials, and O&M; engineers during major breakdowns.
- Assist OEM service teams during AMC-related activities.
- Maintain daily logs, shift logs, and maintenance records.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly O&M; reports.
- Maintain inventory records of spares, tools, and consumables.
- Assist in preparation of data for DSM, energy accounting, and SLDC requirements.
- Ensure cleanliness of control room, inverter rooms,
and switchyard areas.
- Monitor fencing, security, illumination, and access control at the site. Assist in horticulture and drainage upkeep within the plant premises. Any other tasks assigned by the Management from time to time.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Site-based role with shift duties as per plant requirement

- Support commissioning and testing activities.
- Assist in audits and inspections.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Nationality: Indian.
- Age: Candidate should normally not be above 32 years of age as on last date of submission of application.
- Academic Qualification: Should be Diploma / ITI in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation from a recognized University with good academic record.
- Experience: Minimum 13 years of experience in solar power plant O&M; or other Power Plant.
Experience in utility-scale solar plants is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and switchgears Basic understanding of SCADA & data monitoring systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and single line diagrams (SLD)
- Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills of Solar Inverters, HT/LT panels, Transformers, cables, Weather Monitoring Systems and all related equipments of Solar plants etc.
- Awareness of electrical safety standards and procedures.
DESIGNATION, REPORTING & JOB LOCATION The designation shall be Solar Power Plant Technician/Supervisor (O&M;) - Neemrana and the job location will be 01 MW & 05 MW NICDC Neemrana Solar Power Plant (NNSPL), Japanese Zone Neemrana, Distt-Kotputli-Behror (Rajasthan).
