About the Role

MOBO Media is looking for a Software Tester / QA Engineer with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience to join our growing development team.

For this role, good communication is one of our most key requirements. We are looking for someone who can understand requirements clearly, test applications thoroughly, identify issues, and communicate findings confidently with developers and project teams.

The ideal candidate should be organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple web and mobile projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Test web applications, mobile applications, and internal software systems.
- Understand project requirements and prepare appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, UI, usability, regression, integration, and cross-browser testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs clearly with proper steps to reproduce.
- Work closely with developers to explain issues and verify fixes.
- Test APIs and integrations where required.
- Ensure new features meet the agreed requirements before release.
- Perform regression testing before deployments.
- Communicate testing progress, blockers, and risks clearly to the team.
- Take ownership of assigned testing rather than simply waiting for instructions.
- Help improve the overall QA and testing process within the company.

Required Skills
- 12 years of relevant experience in Software Testing / QA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – this is essential for the role.
- Good understanding of manual software testing concepts.
- Experience testing web applications.
- Ability to create clear test cases and test scenarios.
- Good understanding of bug reporting and defect life cycle.
- Experience using bug/task management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similar.




- Basic knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of browser developer tools will be an advantage.
- Ability to understand requirements from both technical and non-technical team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
- Ability to manage priorities when working across multiple projects.

Good to Have
- Experience testing mobile apps on Android and iOS.
- Basic knowledge of SQL/database testing.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Experience working directly with developers and project managers.
- Basic understanding of Git/GitHub.
